It’s now easier than ever to bring website content into Snapchat.
ShareThis and Snapchat have partnered to make it easier for people to share content from the web into Snapchat. During Summer of 2021, ShareThis integrated Snapchat’s Creative Kit to reach millions of users on Snapchat. Creative Kit allows users to share Lenses, AR Experiences, Filters, GIFs, videos, links, or captions from a website or app directly to Snapchat’s camera or preview screen. The integration is a great bridge for content to migrate from desktop to mobile.
When content is shared into Snapchat, users can apply any of Snapchat’s creative tools to edit the shared content before sending it to their friends or posting it to their stories. Snaps and Stories shared with Creative Kit link back to the source content, driving more engagement on apps or websites!
Getting Started with a ShareThis Sticker
To get started, install ShareThis share buttons and create a branded sticker. Please follow this link to learn more about Snapchat Share Stickers.
Share Stickers provide publishers an easy path to sharing to Snapchat. The sticker provides a “call to action” (e.g. “Swipe up to read”). Publishers will be able to include their own branding, a description, and a summary which can be attached to any Snap.
An example of what a Snapchat Share Sticker could look like is here on the right. A user from Bake Quiz has shared content into the Snap Camera using filters. It’s a great example of how a Snapchatter not only shares the content, but also provides an editorial using the visual communication capabilities that Snapchat has helped to make popular.
Snapchat knows Gen Z and graphical interaction like this is what Gen Z expects.
