ShareThis Advanced Reporting is for publishers that want to dig deeper into how content is shared on their website. Using this feature, all of the sharing activity details can be easily integrated into Google Analytics or Omniture reports.
At ShareThis we've built our technology to integrate with Google Analytics, which is designed to help publishers identify and track key metrics. Simply locate your Google Analytics Profile ID and follow these 2 easy steps:
Step 1: Sign up for Advanced Reporting using Google Analytics at http://www.google.com/analytics
Step 2: Sign into your ShareThis account. Click on the My Account link in the upper right hand corner of the page. Go to the "Manage Domains" link in the Publisher area on the right navigation. Add the domains that you wish to track through google analytics.
Step 3: Send an email to support@sharethis.com with the following information:
Step 4: After you receive a response from ShareThis, add the tracking code parameter to the ShareThis widget code on your website:
That's it! Once the tracking code is pushed to your website, Google Analytics will begin collecting detailed sharing activity for inclusion in your web site reports.
