We’re big proponents of the lean startup methodology.  One of the core lessons is the idea of working through small batches.  This means focusing the effort on getting a single item through to production instead of working on multiple things in parallel.  In order to accomplish this ShareThis has pioneered an innovative way to work called ‘Swarms’.  We’ve been using it for engineering but it applies to any process or product development like recruiting, HR or finance.
