While sharing has been at the core of ShareThis since our founding a decade ago, our focus remains rooted in how we can make publishers more successful. To our original sharing tools, we added Social A/B testing and Viral Notifications tools to help publishers drive more traffic from social. Today, we are once again extending our suite of publisher tools by welcoming a new analytics product into the ShareThis family.
Google Analytics for WordPress has long been a simple and effective way for more than 600,000 WordPress publishers to enable Google Analytics on their properties. By joining forces, we are able to bring the value of the ShareThis network and our expertise in social insights to existing publishers, and offer a new analytics product to ShareThis users.
In addition to adding the Google Analytics for WordPress plugin to the ShareThis suite of tools, we are also releasing the biggest update since it was originally launched. This new update includes a host of new features, including:
Visitor trends – Shows a summary dashboard with page views, users, pages per session and bounce rate for the past 7 days as compared to the previous 7 days
Traffic sources – Shows your top 5 traffic sources so you know where your visitors are coming from.
Only track real visitors – Allows you to disable tracking for Admins, Editors, Authors, Contributors, and/or Subscribers so your analytics represent real visitors.
Beyond the new features released today, we are already working on the next set of updates. Our global network of over 3 million domains provides a unique view of how content performs across the internet. Insights, alerts, and other features enriched by the breadth of the ShareThis network will be coming soon!
